Factory Refurbished HOBART Handler 140 MIG Wire Welder

Well, the welder arrived the very NEXT DAY after I purchased it which is completely amazing to me at the flat ship rate. I set it up and got my mower deck prepped to weld the anti-scalp wheel on, turned on the welder and was up and running mower in 10 minutes.... I am very happy with the Handler 140 because of the portability factor of 120v power source. It looked just like the old welder when it was new; flawless finish and boxed just like new. It works just as well as the one I purchased new (to feed to the mouse I guess). I will build a box cover for this one to keep the stupid mice from it. My wife said I should just leave it on and then let the mouse try to eat the wires. ;-)

I'm a hobbyist welder that needed a quality 120V machine and this Hobart 140 met my expectations for craftsmanship and performance.

Got to use it today. Worked great. Still a learning curve how to use it. Been using a stick welder for years. Lot easier welding on thin material.

Purchased a reconditioned Handler 140. I'm very please with it so far. As the headline states...I'm learning to weld so I won't insult real welders by opining on the quality of the weld beads. So far, I've welded on 1/8th and 14ga steel and been able to successfully run beads pretty much right out of the box. I did switch to 0.35 wire for the 1/8th inch stuff and that worked better in my opinion. The fit and finish, even on a "refurbished" machine, is excellent. The welder is running on a standard 120V 15amp outlet with an extension cord with no issues that I can see. A dedicated 20amp plug and breaker is being installed this weekend but nice to know it will run on a 15amp circuit in a pinch. Overall, I'm very pleased so far.

Received the welder in great condition, looked like it had never been used in great working order. Welded good with included flux core wire, but works great with .035 wire with shielding gas, however I did have to get .036 tip, only comes with 2 .030 tips

I have used it a few times and seems to work just fine. When it arrived it was packed well and looked brand new. Know it's limitations and it works as advertised. No issues at all. I would give it a five, however I've only used it a few times.
