Great little welder
Well I waited a while to place my review because I wanted to give her a test drive. I am very impressed with this little machine. It is great for body work (.023 wire) and welded up a cart fixed my exhaust and replaced rear shackles on my truck (.030 wire). I have never really used flux core before so I welded up a few art projects and I am impressed a little messy and Smokey compared to gas but made a great weld (.030 included wire). I am used to the big Millers at work and dual power Lincolns with that said I am very impressed with this Hobart. I would recommend this unit to anyone who has a shop or likes to hobby weld and the 110 is so convenient. This little guy will weld any auto needs you have and has a long duty cycle as well, I would purchase this again for sure. Hobart 140 Handler :)

Well Pleased
Unpacked and noticed no blemishes or signs of use. Have welded with it using the sample flux core wire included it. Going by chart in door, it seems to be dead on. Very happy with purchase. Feel as though I got my moneys's worth.

Save with Remanufactured
I bought this after buying a harbor freight welder and being frustrated by the welds. I did a lot of research and decided on the Hobart Handler 140. When I saw the remanufactured option, I jumped at it and I cannot tell the difference from a brand new one! The Handler 140 is a quality welder. I still need to get the gas for it, but I welded right out of the box with the flux core wire, and it beats the crap out of the Harbor Freight welder by a LOT. Better beads, better temp control, better speeds, a LOT nicer machine and much better quality. I will recommend this every time!

Best welder for the price
I was using a HF 90 amp welder and it burned in a fire (it wasn't the cause of the fire) and i had to get a new one. I looked everywhere for different types, makes and models. After reading the reviews I settled on the refurbished Hobart 140. I made the right choice. This welder is great. It has a nice smooth arch and it works great. I Love it...

Best welder for the money
I had a cheep no name HF welder and it was messy and not very goid. But I practiced with it and got OK with it. But it was time to buy a big boy welder. After reading nothing but positive reviews a decided to go with the Hobart Handler 140. I set it up. It was very easy. I read the manual as far as I needed to. And plugged it in an wow. What a nice welder. Nice arch. Not half as much spatter as the HF one. So purchased a tank of 75/25 and tried that. This is awesone. No complaints . Love this welder. Now I'm just looking for things to weld.

Refurb Handler 140? YES!
I had been using a Lincoln SP125 for the last 15 years and was skeptical about trying a Hobart. Price was driving my purchase this time, so I went ahead with the Hobart. What I got was a BETTER piece of equipment than the older Lincoln I was using! These 140's are NICE. I used it straight out of the box, smooth as silk and perfect welds & I'm sure it's faster than the other one too. If you're not sure about the refurb units, don't worry- they go over these things with a fine tooth comb as opposed to the ones that simply roll off the production line. I'm thrilled with it and feel like I've bought real commercial quality. You will too, go ahead- you won't regret it.
